Recently our clan has been joined by a large group of people from Mayoi - Obituary is heading this group. Also we have been joined by Al-Qadim and his people - that we have known for ages. Al-Qadim and his group have been kind enough to share "quarters" with us here in Baishi Meeting Hall. I think we should bid them all a warm and hearty welcome to our family"

Al-Qadim says, "For those who haven't read the new "text" on the zone (Gathering of monsters).. it mention training camps for monsters it is not a teaser, as those traininf camps are in game right now. 6 camps can be found in Osteth (eastern land), and 4 camps can be found in the direlands. Training camps are the answer of Turbine for more exciting outdoor adventures. Where they are, I dont have any idea presently.. I know that near glenden wood, there are 2 camps with banderlings and mosswarts. In the direlands, there is supposedly one fortress with Virindis and a lot of tuskers spawning very quickly. One such camp is at the Banderling treehouse, for those who knows where it is. Last time I've been there was during beta1, hehe"

Jaytan says, "There is a note on one of the banderlings at the treehouse about a big wanga... although I have yet to see it for myself."

Al-Qadim says, "People who have discovered those camps seem to keep it a secret (ro avoid crowding I guess), and that's about it."

Alchemist of Miracles says, "evening Brell Clan. Some of you may know me by my main The Divine Wind. I am currently tied to the Traininng Camp in the Ob Plains, and YES, all of us there keep it a secret :). This is what is in that camp:"

Al-Qadim says, "if its Tumideon Fortress, or Sotiris Fortress, those are not training camps"

Alchemist of Miracles says, "1st lvl and second lvl: High Drudges except Altyereds on a 5 minute spawn. Sotiris, according to my sources in the Advocates is a Trainnig Camp...there is a Shard at the bottom that needs to be translated. A Virindi Director is at the bottom, 3rd lvl is Tuskers Ravs Hollow Minions. Pretty much the same all the way down, last room is on a 2 minute spawn rate for the monsters, we couldn't clear it and there were 6 of us. If this isn't a Training Camp, I apologize for taking your time"

Alchemist of Miracles says, "The Divine Wind, an Archer, has made 2.7 million 2 days there"

Brell says, "I am sure that these places will be found by more people eventually - even us :-)"

Wu Song says, "Thank you... my hunitng partners and I like to try various SI keys on different chests throughout the land... we went to the mage academy but it appears that it is no longer an uber chest... the coffing seems to be part of a new quest....anyone know anythign about it? EOC

Brell says, "Al-qadim is up next - so you might as well take it from here Al :-)"

Al-Qadim says, "The coffin is the wife of Lord Rytheran.. you can find the key on Rytheran when you kill him. The chest is a special uber chest requiring that key only.. loot is nothing more or less than usual SIKs chests"

Al-Qadim says, "As for the Tumideon Fortress and Sotiris Fortress, those are dungeons and not training camps. Training camps are _outdoor_ castles, camps, forts, fortresses, etc... with lots of monsters ona fast spawn rate. Both notes found on Virindi directors in Tumideon and Sotiris talked about the virindi being displeased with their current bodyguards (tuskers and drudges), hence, why they began "constructing" Hollow Minions. EoC"

Neilla says, "Thank you Brell. The latest update includes a new type of component - a 'Pea'. A Pea is a concentrated component which can be split into a large number of regular components using a tool called a Pea Splitter, Gee, wonder where THAT came from."

Neilla says, "Both can be bought in the Mayoi mage tower. The pea splitter costs something like 45K pyreals. The peas themselves weigh almost nothing, but are expensive - 2-3 times normal component costs. I have found them to be a real life-saver on many occasions. I keep a pea of each taper, each component I burn a lot of... and a bunch of tapers for amber, hyssop, and other things that burn at an extra high rate. They've alredy saved me massive trouble on several occasions."

Brell says, "Thank you Neilla - I am gonna have to ask everyone to shorten their coments a bit if you all can..."

Methonos says, "I am a little confused... What makes that dungeon a Training camp? Is the term 'training camp' just eye candy or is there any 'training' involved?? Am I mising something obvious?"

Brell says, "Well the training camps are outdoor - NOT in dungeons!"

Al-Qadim adds, "from a gaming perspective, it is giving to players outdoor adventure with good xps, as opposed to crowded dungeons"

Bracore says, "My question is a bit of a change of direction im afraid, i have all seven keys for the SOLL, could my level 29 sword user get to the sword or is a party required"

Brell says, "A party is required I think - but I am sure that this can be mounted VERY quickly Bracore!"

Falcor says, "I'd also like to organize a Fenmalain Quest for any sub-25 characters. I'll make a post on the clan mailing list to see who would like to participate. Start killing shadow children at Tatters or the Fenmalain vestibule so that you at least have 2 keys! I'd also like to say how happy I am to be a part of this group....and I'm sure I speak for all of Al-Qadims group...we're having a blast! :) EOC :) thanks"

Brell says, "You have to be level 35+ to do the Shendolain Quest, the Fenmalain Quest is for people below 25"

Brell says, "OK - Lets moove along - next item on the agenda is: Progress report on the Brell Clan Aerlinthe attacks"

Brell says, "I am sure many of you are aware of our Clan's attempts to press to redo the Aerlinthe quest... I am not gonna repeat everything I wrote in my reports on the clan mailer - only say that I am extreemely proud to see the number of people backing up around this quest. Allthough the quest if for level 45+ characters ONLY - there are other parts of the quest that people below 45 CAN get involved in. Malech mentionned that two of the three SoLL infusions are dropped OUTSIDE Aerlinthe, and it is only a matter of organisation, to give others a good shot at these.

Status right now is the following:

We have secured the Sluice Gate Bar that is needed to start the whole quest - once we have that we will get the next one (for the second round) when we pass the room where it spawns on the way to the Smithing Golem, to give him the Pyreal Bellows we have retrieved from Crater Cave. As thing look right now - we are hoping to make the first attempt on the full quest this next Saturday. I therefore STRONGLY urge those above level 45+ to practice some more on Aerlinthe. Canador and I will be avaliable as support mages, if you want to go and give it a try. In the beginning, we will only touch base, and try on a few critters. From there we will practice running around the area without getting killed!

I sugges those of you who just joined the clan mailer, to go to the eGroups web-site where an Archive is found of all previous messages on this subject! We have recieved a bit of a beating the last few visits out there - but this quest is NOT impossible for a group like ours! We just need to stop using brute force, and start outsmarting the critters instead!

Brell says, "Well Mithyran, next saturday we are gonna HAVE to start earlier. If we want to complete the quest, we are definitely gonna need more time - and this we need to start earlier!"

Neilla says, "I have noticed that the spell economy is much more favorable before noon on Saturday (EST)."

Brell says, "OK - Lets us press on guys... we still have a bit of ground to cover.... Next item on the Agenda: Fighting School's - we have had the first Mage Classes with success. Last sunday - a Mage Class was conducted with 6 or 7 participating mages... and from what I heard it was a great success. Tomorrow the intermediate class will be held, taking over where the beginner class left off. So if any of you would like to attend, it will be around 6pm PST - and we gather here in Meeting Hall"

Brell says, "If there is interest, we will also begin a melee class, as well as an archer class... we are just getting our feet wet here - so have patience with us! Any questions?"

Brell says, "Well the first class was attended by mages from level 9 to 40 I think - the intermediate class will adress a lot of more complex things, and specifically talk about where and how to hunt - as well as more advanced fighting teqniques"
